Destined to be useful: What is destiny?

 Part 2 : DESTINY 

What then is destiny? 

Luk 2:49 KJV "And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" 


What is this Father's business Jesus talks about? The Father's business is the Will of the Lord, and being about the Father's business is doing all that is in our might (yielding our vessels to the precepts of His Word as if of ourselves) to ensure that His Will be accomplished in us and through us. 


Destiny is the Divine Intent (Will) of the Lord for the human race. This Divine Will of the Lord is to be united with mankind; that He (the Lord) may endow him (mankind) with His Love, and man may in turn live from this Love eternally. To the Lord, His destiny for mankind (as succinctly described above) is unchanging, however by virtue of His Love for mankind, He does not impose this Will on any man. The Lord rather admonishes man to choose this path by freewill. Hence true destiny is the Lord's mindset. This is divine, and can only be perceived spiritually, since the Lord is spirit. No man can determine this of himself and by himself, it is discerned from the Lord. A person's determination of his own destiny, is his own destruction. 


The Father's business is our destiny; that we may be one with Him, to receive all of His Love and to reflect all of this Love towards one another forever and ever. 

(NB. The Father does not mean a parent or a separate person from the Lord Himself. The Father speaks of the Divine in the Lord ie. The Divine Love and the Divine Wisdom from that Love from which every good and truth proceeds). 


Joh 15:4-5 KJV 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 

 

Act 17:28 KJV For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 


 May your eyes be opened to appreciate the Will of God as your destiny. Your destiny is not a mystery, it is all that you were created for. It is the Love of God for all humanity: to raise angels out of  us. You are destined to be useful.


The status quo projects that spirituality is for the aimless, the ones who are about nothing. The truth is that those who do not seek the Lord in spirit are the ones who cannot find a lasting aim or a meaningful fulfilling aim. Such are headless wanderers, and the truth is that many people in the world now are headless wanderers. Headless meaning that the authority or rulership that dwells in their midst and forms the core of their lives is missing. This happens when the things of the world rule the man instead of the Lord. We were made that the Lord will dwell in us and we in Him. If this vision is not fulfilled, man is in misery. 


You judge that you are fine in life based on material possessions? You believe God's hand is upon you because you are alright materially? You are a graduate, you have a job,  husband, children, money, status... I can boldly tell you that you are insecure and unstable in life, and when life hits you hard, you will deny the Lord because you have not known Him in Spirit. What wisdom are you living this life with? How really are you surviving? Because there is no sanity out there. The world's suggestions are not lasting


I have identified that a lot of people do not know what becomes of man (a person) after death. Why bother? Does it really matter to know this? I believe it is very pertinent for everyone because knowledge about this can inform the kind of lives we live here on earth. I will say that most people do not care about their spiritual development because they do not know what becomes of them after their lives on earth end. I say that if the knowledge of the truth that we become Angels or Devils based on the kind of lives we live here is made known to all (by agency of the Word of God), many people will step up in their approach to life.


It is so sad to come to know how the realities of life are deemed irrelevant, and the unrealistic ones embraced as the true way of life. To many, they have not known any other way of life except the natural.  How come we were never taught this from scratch? How come our primary pursuits are not to unite with the Lord? Rather, are we encouraged to pursue the world right from the start? There is a Ghanaian lullaby that tells a baby to stop crying because he will someday travel abroad. My question is why not heaven? We grow concerned about making it in life void of the Lord. Making it here in a temporal world is almost every person's ambition. . .


John 4:23 KJV

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

"Just erase and draw again"

I was inspired by a 9 year old boy to draw, I was only 5 years old then. Over the years, I have come to know that there is more to drawing than what we literally see. When I was 5 years old, I saw an older boy drawing. I'm sure he was about 9 years old. He was drawing a man. It was the first time I had seen such a nice drawing, nicer than the ones my nursery teacher drew on the blackboard. I couldn't draw like that, the best I could do was to trace. We will get there!

Sometimes, we get so tired of striving tirelessly without ever reaching our set goals. Sometimes we wonder if we'll ever get there... Sometimes this good pursuit we've given our lives for seems almost unachievable. We keep climbing and climbing, we feel our knees feeble — our limbs shaky and breaths almost fading. Seeing how far we've climbed up, it's irrational climbing down but there's a dementor that pressingly suggests that that's the only option.  Frustration, this shackle, its voice shouts so strong that we almost feel we've lost control. It saps every joy and tells us it is hopeless having hope. It hypnotizes its prey to think that they've lost the ability to choose, and deceitfully presents one option - giving up. Frustration highlights so much pessimism and pain!
