Destined to be useful: Hell's attack

Part 3: Hell's attack

When the Lord shows us the mighty things we can become for the sake of others, we look at our limitations and end up doubting the Word of God. We shut that voice of hope and convince ourselves that it was not the Lord that spoke. We extrapolate that we would not be successful because we are not well resourced, forgetting that it is not ours but the Lord's duty to endow us with every resource necessary for our calling.

Our problem is that many times, we feel so confident in ourselves that we are convinced that we love the Lord so much. Therefore, this blocks us from looking within, and acknowledging our inability to love or be burdened with the vision of the Lord without His help. We are too strong for the Lord — too strong to be purged. Too strong to hear Love's demands and to be affected by it. However, because of our many cares and the weights of life that we bear, we block ourselves from taking up our destinies. We decide not to be chosen. We leave the pursuit of God for very few people. This is very sad. The greatest attack from Hell is not to strip us of material possessions, no. Hell is constantly fighting us from stepping into the light; from knowing the depths of God's Divine Love and Divine Wisdom (John 3:19). Hell is after us, and the sad thing is that we do not even know. We are not intentional and drastic about spiritual pursuits.

It is time for us to put the endowments of the Lord into use. As people of God, we have not done much work as far as the Lord's vineyard is concerned. We need to affect the lives of the flock more. We need to affect their lives more than we have. The Lord is ever present to help us in this ministry.

Dan 9:20-22 KJV 20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; 21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.
