The four categories of people

Image
The four categories of people  There are four Categories of people as far as the spiritual life is concerned: 1.   Those who are oblivious about the internal faculties and are thus opened and ruled only by sensuality. Life is only meaningful to these people externally. The influx of the higher cause is untapped and remains latent within them. These people do not reach their full potential as intended by the Divine Cause (God). 2.   Those who are ignorant yet unwilling to search or yield to any knowledge that points to the consciousness of the Divine. These people have shut themselves from the inflow of the Divine from reaching their inner man, and consequently their externals. Hence, they are ruled only by their sensual animalistic parts. Life is only meaningful to them externally too; they can only relate with what is material and literal.  3.   Those who through knowledge come to the realization of the Divine but decide to reject the truth and the...

We will get there!

Image
Sometimes, we get so tired of striving tirelessly without ever reaching our set goals. Sometimes we wonder if we'll ever get there... Sometimes this good pursuit we've given our lives for seems almost unachievable. We keep climbing and climbing, we feel our knees feeble — our limbs shaky and breaths almost fading. Seeing how far we've climbed up, it's irrational climbing down but there's a dementor that pressingly suggests that that's the only option.  Frustration, this shackle, its voice shouts so strong that we almost feel we've lost control. It saps every joy and tells us it is hopeless having hope. It hypnotizes its prey to think that they've lost the ability to choose, and deceitfully presents one option - giving up. Frustration highlights so much pessimism and pain! It keeps us down in the pits and prevents our eyes from looking up to the light; making us believe that we are on our own and that God is not present. This ol' con keeps replaying o...

If only we could read each others' minds...

Image
If only we could read each others' minds... We cannot judge actions by appearances. Neither can we judge based on the people who perform the actions. The motive of an action is the core or drive of the action, and fills the whole action whether of service or damage to mankind. It is possible for a man (generic: both male and female) to vehemently defend himself/herself as altruistic and yet work for his/her personal aggrandizement to the detriment of other lives underneath.  Basically, when confronted about motives, the inclination to feeling accused or judged is high. Motives are delicate to people and mostly concealed. Motive is the spirit by which an action is done. To have a good motive is to act for the benefit of all, while a bad motive acts for the benefit of oneself to the peril of others.  A gentleman can spend all his time and money lavishing delicacies on a lady and will say he is doing that for free - without any expectations. Meanwhile, when the lady marries anoth...

Smoking kills

Image
What determines whether something is good or bad? Is there a universal mirror we can use to know the intention behind an action or deed? Everybody considers and does what makes them happy. If a man thinks of something to be bad and yet does it, it is because he loves the feeling or the experience he gets from engaging in that action. For example, there is an inscription on cigarettes "smoking kills" but this inscription doesn't deter smokers from smoking. Intriguingly, even medical practitioners who know the consequences of smoking still smoke. "It is bad, yes we know but we still can't stop". This is the song of an addict. The addiction of a smoker then is as a result of prioritizing the feeling that comes with smoking over killing oneself. Actually, in reality, the smoker doesn't believe the inscription on the cigarette box is true, least to obey. The consequence of his action to another person or his surrounding environment is inapparent to him as wel...

The best description of God

Image
Dear friends, what best describes God than He being Love itself? I found this wonderful message, and I can't help but read it over and over. Now that you are here, let us read it together. GOd is love God is Love itself. This means He is infinite love from whom all other loves are derived. Infinity is a quality which belongs to that which has no beginning and ending. It also speaks of that from which all others have their beginning and ending. God is infinite love because all loves are from Him as Love itself. It also means He is the one who truly gives love. He is the source and giver of love. If anyone has love in him and acts as a result of it, that love is from God no matter who that person is. God is the one and only source of love. There is no love from anywhere else apart from God.  GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME The nature of love is to always seek the good of all others and work through wisdom to bring that good into fruition.  Love is the greatest and most blessed...

Always good or good sometimes?

Image
Dear friends, I have been mulling over this expression the entire day, “God is good all the time; and all the time, God is good”. Considering this objectively, this affirmation can only mean that God is always good in every sense; He can never conceive nor do evil.   If this is so, why do we sometimes attribute the cause of certain misfortunes or evil deeds to God? Is God capable of causing harm? Is He capable of blessing and cursing? What do you think? Let us discuss.
